 Quiz Nights-

The ever popular quiz nights are now in summer recess whilst we focus on cricket.

Hope to see you all again in the Autumn.

Thank you to all of the quizzers who have supported us again this year.

Lastly- the 100 Club is still open for applications- see below.

Hello 100 club players

Thank you all for joining the Childswickham CC 100 Club, a village lottery aimed to raise funds for a new pavilion and give you the chance to win serious money [well, sorta serious: it will buy a few beers anyway!]

This is the first of quite regular newsletters to keep you informed.

We currently have 30 members playing monthly. Your chances of winning are high! Each month we will hold a draw, the winner collecting £100 as a prize.

We are always on the lookout for more players, for as a club we are looking to raise £5-6k to start building the cricket club pavilion. If you know anyone who would like to get involved, please direct them to me!

If anyone wants to know more, or indeed has questions, then we would welcome your comments either to John Hughes, Chairman, or me as Vice chair and 100 Club leader.

Mark Johnstone has put a quick guide to umpiring and umpire's signals. I think he's trying to tell us something.

 New Pavilion Appeal-

 Friends of Childswickham Cricket Club

We are about to start what we hope will be an even greater season for CCC, our fifth at the Sam Perry Ground. We continue to be buoyed by the goodwill and interest that this cricketing venture has spawned, as much on the pitch as in the wider village.

We want this to expand and flourish, and we would love the whole village to enjoy a sense of ownership.

The next phase in our development is to make a home, a pavilion where cricket in Childswickham is based.

To pump prime this venture, we are establishing a 100 Club. The attached flyer is self explanatory: take a few minutes to have a look at it.

We would love to welcome onboard each and every one of you, and start this as soon as possible.

The contacts are those you already know so well.

These are such exciting times for the club, and together we can build a spirit that will make us all proud of our community.

To find out more about the Club's plans for the Pavilion and on how you can be involved in the 100 Club, please see below.

We are always on the look out for new players and would love to see some new faces. If anyone fancies joining us for some classic village cricket please do get in touch - nothing too serious/all abilities (or those with no ability) welcome. Supporters are also very welcome - the social side is as important to us as the games! If anyone fancies helping out to arrange quizzes or social events, we'd love to hear from you.
